Treriksröset - Venal

I don't think that I need to introduce this name. Perhaps everyone who is at least slightly interested in noise, knows Abisko cassette label or once again raising excellent Segerhuva label and Treriksröset too of which Tommy Carlsson is responsible and who is a connecting link of all that I mentioned earlier. Treriksröset first appeared in CMI released Estheticks Of Cruelty 2xCD (1999). This release (I think it's not only my opinion) played really huge role in Swedish industrial scene. That compilation simply dragged to daylight many then new, now cult artists and bands. One of such and still alive is Treriksröset. This tape was released also by Swedish label Utmarken in edition of 100, but soon Chefsideologens Bolag (somehow I feel that T. Carlsson is responsible for this one too. No?) rereleased this album. For good. This tape with playing time of around half an hour is absolutely worth it. It's strong and qualitative harsh noise release. First side opens with screaming feedback's pseudomelody which quickly evolves into multilayered, wriggling like a snake and developing noise track. Strong though not raspy sound and constant development of the theme are two main things that attracts listener's ears and attention. Multilayered sound sometimes contracts and goes through so much distortion that it seems that the track will crumble and end, but there are places where weight of sound overlies on you with all its might, enfolds and slowly crushes. The second part is somewhat different. The sound is more dead and filthier. Rare squeals of feedbacks are put aside and in the front low rumble is brought. Somewhere around half of a side harsh noise wall like almost static sounds continues. Under low frequencies of that, minor changes in noises are happening. After some time of conditional lack of development in sound, it changes. Clangs of metal and noise moves to upper level of frequencies and the track evolves into harsher sounds. In that more open sound the cassette ends. Nice release with nice bleak cover. Strict and intense harsh noise attack and one more strong release of Treriksröset.
