Anomali ‎– Nitya-Baddha 10" (Hypnagogia)

Anomali have an approach to sonic plundering that is as fu*ked, crude and humorous as Christoph Heeman and Achim Flaam's Hirsche Nich Auf Sofa.. Shredded torch songs, dripping taps, gunshots and inane soundbites, all lapped with tongues of torrential feedback. Despite their affinities with TNB, Anomali's approach is more compositional, at times recalling Steven Stapleton's more fevered Nurse With Wound creations, or the sound of someone slowly dialling through Eastern Bloc radio broadcasts while legions of disgruntled peasants trash a politburo WC. Atrax Morgue ‎– Homicidal Texture S/Sided LP (Urashima)

Homicidal Texture is published by Slaughter Productions in early 1995 in a bizarre packaging consists of a metal mesh that completely envelops the cover. The four tracks on the tape are based on obsessive synth drones. The smell of death is soaked in every sound produced by the brilliant and twisted mind of Marco Corbelli. Anxiety, alienation and hypochondria turn into a deep paranoia in pain. Without hesitation, the bodies are emptied, leaving the field to an electronics purulence of rare power disconcerting. Tracks remastered from the original tape and the record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label on one side, to allow the full use of the entire work without breaks. The record is accompanied by a card in luxury 220 gr ivory paper with a picture on both sides taken from original artwork. Limited to 99 copies. No cover. No credits or info. Only death.

Ba. Ku. / BT.HN. ‎– Ritual Totemic Stone LP (Urashima)

By now, the significance of Sam McKinlay's extensive body of work is undeniable. After having begun his mapping of the depths of monomania, fetish, addiction, and vice, in the mid-1990s with his flagship project, The Rita, McKinlay briefly halted his work in the early 2000s. Though it was unforeseeable at the time, McKinlay's return to substantial recording output and live performances around 2004 would quickly and permanently alter the landscape of Harsh Noise. The Rita became one of the most prolific and influential projects of the mid-2000s as McKinlay explored and channeled his own personal fixations into a sound that was as simultaneously oppressive and ecstatic as the crushing weight of obsession. While the sound of The Rita was not entirely novel, the philosophical underpinnings of the project and the extremes to which McKinlay pushed resulted in a sea of change within Harsh Noise. It can, and has, convincingly been argued that The Rita may have provided the final grand statement within Noise, Industrial, and Experimental music.  To call McKinlay's output during the years 2005 to 2007 “voluminous” would be a massive understatement. In addition to numerous The Rita releases, McKinlay branched out and engaged in several collaborations and side projects while also contributing to the soundtrack for the Barrier Kult skate horde video work. Among McKinlay's musical side projects was the superb Ba.Ku. In 2005, McKinlay released a handful of tapes under this moniker, before changing it to BT.HN., reserving the name Ba.Ku./Barrier Kult exclusively for their skate-related activities. Originally released by Trash Ritual in 2005 under the name Ba.Ku. and later re-released as BT.HN., the “Ritual Totemic Stone” cassette showcased a markedly different style for McKinlay. The sound on “Ritual Totemic Stone” was sharper, darker, and more dynamic, tending more toward heavy Power Electronics with high-end feedback and indistinct vocals emerging from behind the sort of immense walls for which McKinlay is more customarily known. Drawing both sonic and conceptual inspiration from raw and bestial Black Metal, BT.HN. began incorporating samples from obscure horror films and a new aesthetic sensibility that, at that time, had not been fully explored in the Harsh Noise scene; indeed, the overlapping attributes of Black Metal and Noise were only just beginning to be explored. (Note that in 2006, The Rita and Bone Awl issued their collaboration that explored the nexus between these two genres.) While the use of Black Metal tropes in Noise is now disgracefully commonplace and usually trite, McKinlay's approach in 2005 was engaging because, as with his other thematic focal points, his tendency toward obsession granted him the ability to appropriate the right characteristics of Black Metal and incorporate them seamlessly. Regarded years later, “Ritual Totemic Stone” is a significant release within McKinlay's overall discography and a landmark release in the history of Harsh Noise. As such, Urashima, recognizing that it should be preserved and made available once again, has issued this vinyl edition .  The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies with strip insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

Bizarre Uproar ‎– Vihameditaatio LP (Urashima)

Bizarre Uproar is one of the colossal phenomenon in Finnish harsh noise scene. Throughout the years, this artist has gradually taken the Bizarre Uproar concept to more and more extreme level not only sound wise, but also ideologically fulfilling the ideas behind the sounds. Hate Meditation. Wrapped in darkness, tight as second skin. Suffocating (like) latex mask. Purification in filth and violence, cleansed in flesh and blood that are shit and piss, enlightenment in everlasting ejaculation. New extremes in sonic bizarre domination. The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 199 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

Black Leather Jesus / Blue Sabbath Black Cheer ‎– Black Leather Jesus / Blue Sabbath Black Cheer LP (Urashima)

For over 20 years Black Leather Jesus has been there, watching, waiting, playing in small, poorly-lit rooms. Founded by Richard Ramirez in 1989, everything they do is harsh, chaotic, and completely unlistenable to the sane mind. Ramirez was inspired by the gay S&M scene to create something that will haunt the hallowed halls of your soul. Seattle's incredibly prolific doom metal outfit Blue Sabbath Black Cheer, consisting primarily of members Stan Reed and wm.Rage, have released a slew of Lp,7-inches, splits, CD-Rs, and cassettes, collaborating and conspiring with peers in their community to generate one of the more viciously enviable catalogues of sound-vomit, death, and hatred to ever be thrown against the monolithic brick wall of noise. This release consist of one side with a long new track of each band and the other side with a terrific collaboration track. The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

Blue Sabbath Black Cheer ‎– Catacombs LP (Urashima)

Formed in the winter of 2005, Blue Sabbath Black Cheer hails from Seattle and seems to rely on a hodgepodge of contributors. However, only three solid members form the band: Stan Reed, wm. Rage, and Crystal Perez. They make their murderous and sleazy mix of blacked noise, grim power electronics & sicken clanking ambience back . Catacombs is a re-issue of long out-of-print cassette from 2007, originally released on BSBC's own Gnarled Forest Recordings. Featured in these recordings is the complete and total destruction of a drum kit by wm.Rage, a very large metal tank played/abused by Stan Reed, and electronics and vocals by long-time conspirator Geoff Walker (Gravitar, Basketcase, Magnetic Lucifer presents: Chinesefish). The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

BODY CARGO - "Logistics of Religion" heavy 10 inch (Autarkeia)

Logistics of Religion is a powerful document testifying the link between the clans of intelligence services, representing themselves as the Messengers of Jesus, with the bloody rituals in Papua New Guinea. These are the latest testimonies about the involvement of B-52, the bomber of the new prophets, in the establishment of the latest and bloodiest religions and its mission of providing new victims for the cruellest cannibal tribes. Logistics of Religion is the new way to conquer the remote and dangerous areas of the planet. Global control and solution of strategic objectives by rallying the archaic religions of the planet in the hands of a single secret master. Management strategy and religion planning for savage tribes with regard to the peculiarities of archaic world view. Logistics of Religion is the disclosure of far-fetching plans embodied in the brutal sound of postmortem. In the record of Logistics of Religion, one will find samples, powerful and unique conspirational atmosphere and the spit into the face of the lie.

Concrete Threat + Vomir - Monolithic Blasphemies LP (Urashima)

Concrete Threat are a sinister and ultra-grim two piece project from Sweden who formed in 2006. The men behind the wall are Christian Fagerström & Hannes Hellman that since them first cdr have created some of the most unforgiving, bleak and nauseating HNW and shadowy black Harsh Noise you'll ever have come across.
Vomir is one of the most un-compromising & respected artists with in the Harsh Noise Wall scene. The man behind the bag is Frenchman Romain Perrot and since the project start in 2006 he has produced constantly brutal and unrelenting HNW with no dynamics, no change and no development.
These HNW masters of brutality and claustration have collaborated at the end of 2012 to create ‘' Monolithic Blasphemies'' and the result is the most abrasive & uncompromising blast of noise. Total bleakness. The record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

Custodian / Pusdrainer 7” (Phage Tapes, Dead Pope)

Custodian starts things off with his usual brand of loop heavy, stop on a dime, industrial harsh noise. "Situation In Distress" sees the project packing as much of a punch into five minutes as past longer running releases. The second ever vinyl release following last years split 12" with Mania. Pusdrainer takes side B with "Not Another Second", A blistering feedback drenched power electronics assault that marks the projects' return to the PE style after a string of releases exploring primitive harsh noise and lurching low end synth slime.

Features artwork by Luke Tandy of Being/Skeleton Dust. Mastered by ZZ of Persistence In Mourning

Dead Body Love ‎– Audiocide '95 LP (Urashima)

Gabriele Giuliani has distinguished himself in the nineties for multiple activities in different territories. As Drif, runs through electronic environments, as Discordance instead are more ominously violent sides to emerge, while as Dead Body Love the sharp points of the ultra sound reached dizzying heights. Audiocide ‘95 is one of his first tape released on Slaughter Productions with his main moniker. Two tracks of hellish distortion and saturation, stripped of any frills and reduced to the purest sensory effect. In a manic frenzy, the sound axle and pervades, blending pure nihilism and violence. Gabriele with his multiple projects is definitely one of the undisputed masters of noise that has characterized the scene of the 90s, with its numerous releases. Tracks remastered from the original tape and the record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies w/insert in luxury 200 gr red paper.

Faux Pas/ Grain Belt 7" (Phage Tapes, Small Doses, White Centipede Noise)

Faux Pas (Lasse Marhaug and Sten Ove Toft) has been bringing it with some well put together harsh noise lately with releases on Turgid Animal, Second Sleep, Roggbif, Violent Noise Atrocities and Destructive Industries. Their side of this 7” is just as brutal, producing a nearly 5 min assault of harsh noise with feedback and textural changes making their way to the surface now and again.

Grain Belt (Wince, Willful and Baculum) provides a very layered and composed slab of metal abuse utilizing scraping and sputtering sounds.

Hal Hutchinson - Corrupted Scrap LP (Freak Animal)

This new album consists of two live in studio scrap metal recordings that utilise an approach called 'Factory of Metal Sound'. This new technique allows for the recordist to assemble a sonic machine using unwanted industrial products. Taking a form of sound recording that has always been essentially 'free form' and 'open' . this approach replaces structure in the existence of the objects being used. and therefore gives them back their original purpose as factory made objects. Layering the sound of each object (chains. nails. barrels.pipes.sheet metal.etc) a territory is created that can be expanded upon and explored. These recordings represent the progress that had to be made with regard to recording scrap metal sound. They create an approach that is truly experimental in nature and not simply mere imitation. These recordings aspire to something beyond that which was inherited. Silkscreened b/w covers and insert.

Hal Hutchinson - Wreckage & Reconstruction LP (Unrest productions)

Recorded during the same series of sessions that resulted in 'Corrupted Scrap','Wreckage & Reconstruction' uses the same Factory Of Metal Sound technique that was applied to some previous metalwork releases, but this time exhibits a much more overdriven and bulked up end result.
'Wreckage & Reconstruction' bears the most faithful resemblance to the sound he originally desired, and is therefore the closest he has come to truly instinctive and direct expression.

Krysmopompas ‎– Untitled 7" (Avant!)

The A-side, "Gesa", is a line drawing of the graceful movements traced on the dusty floor of an abandoned hall by a mechanical bride and an electrical groom as they orbit around each other in their clockwork ballet while a crooning ghost dressed in an ill-fitting tuxedo provides dada admonitions from his pulpit. It sounds grainy, derelict, metallic and forsakenly beautiful like all the best German post-punk.

Mauthausen Orchestra ‎– 2nd Movement LP (Urashima)

Infinite modulations towards a sky that has now disappeared and locked in concrete. A fierce nihilism that overflows into the undefined territory between mind and matter, marking our brains and our skin. Reverse Baptism ‎– Street Business LP (Anabolic Dimensions)
Street Business is the debut LP from Baltimore’s Reverse Baptism, who might be Ham-J, Cathy, and Cheetah. However, things quickly unravel into a much less clear delineation of who is who in the dystopian mirage the trio introduce to the listener.
Confusion is the focus (or lack thereof,) Reverse Baptism employ with which to manipulate the listener, blurring power and gender roles and setting up character-driven archetypes that are quickly shattered, reassembled, and fucked back in on themselves.
Nil-person narratives told by ultra-skeevs play out over damaged and spun electronics- at times sequenced, and others whirlwind, but always on the brink of collapsing in on itself. Rusted antique carousel songs play into the screech of porcelain horse’s thrusts before the gears finally corrode and the children start screaming. More perv than punk. More third world than industrial.
The records, pressed on Hollins Market table-colored vinyl, are a triumph in the catalog of Chicago’s Anabolic Dimensions. Liner notes include psychosexual illustrations, a fold out poster of the band, and a complete lyrics sheet (earning the album’s Parental Advisory stamp.)
Reverse Baptism has put forth an open-ended document that manipulates the listener into the twisted view from the gutter which they thrive.
Fuck you Mom.
Fuck you Dad.

Sick Seed ‎– Helsingin Synagogat (Filth and Violence, Untergeschoss)

After some silence, Sick Seed is back with a new 7" that takes the ever-mutating project towards more old-school industrial sound and versatility while retaining a healthy amount of power electronics aggression. Title track on side A is a hit song heard at most Sick Seed gigs as well as at last Gelsomina (project that preceded SS) gigs. It's a heavily pounding and rotten-sounding industrial anthem that takes a venomous look at modern world and its plutocratic madness. On side B we get a brief scrap metal (et al.) exercise "Teeth pt.2" and an industrial folk ballad "Angel Smith" that is Sick Seed's tribute to Jandek, one of the greatest outsider musicians in the world. This is a powerful and emotional 7". Cover art by Si Clark.

Sickness / John Wiese - Amnesia 7" (Freak Animal)

When I first got copy of debut 7" of John Wiese in 1998, I couldn´t predict that close to 15 years later, his 99th 7" vinyl release will be released by Freak Animal. For Sickness, this is his first 7". What we have here, is 4 tracks of high energy, extremely vivid and frantic harsh noise. At the best possible tradition of these two masterminds. Compositions are razor sharp and to the point. Good sound at 45rpm ep, and it has still decent playing time of c. 10 minutes. They really compressed album worth of substance into this small piece of vinyl, offering more in 10 minutes than many artists during their entire career. Essential for anyone into dynamic harsh noise!

Krionika Soshiki is one of his most representative works of the first period of solo activities. The six tracks run through subliminal arenas, with flows and ideas collapsed to state of primordial energy. Feedback sharp and sonic phenomena striking like a prolonged electrical discharge on the neuromuscular receptors. Tracks remastered from the original tape and the record has been pressed on 140 gr black vinyl with black label and black inner sleeve and comes in a deluxe silver silkscreen on black cardboard sleeve, limited to 99 copies w/insert in luxury 160 gr ivory paper.

Sutcliffe Jügend ‎– Pursuit Of Pleasure LP (4iB Recordings)

Pursuit of Pleasure is the second album release by legendary Power Electronics duo Sutcliffe Jugend for 2012. It has also been 4 years (in 2008) since their last album release on vinyl format (Sutcliffe Jugend/Prurient ”End of Autumn“).
Pursuit of Pleasure is released in 2 different numbered editions of 300 copies each: Asia & USA/Europe/ROTW. Each numbered edition comes in different vinyl colours that is individually hand-stamped (Asia: Red/Gold Vinyl & USA/Europe/ROTW: Black/Clear Vinyl), inner sleeve (Asia: Yellow & USA/Europe/ROTW: Blue) as well as a hand numbered A3 Poster (Asia: Victims & USA/Europe/ROTW: Peter Sutcliffe). The album is made of 180 gm virgin vinyl and housed in high quality gatefold cardboard packaging inserted in a thick resealable polypropylene sleeve with a numbered album description sticker.
Comprising 7 tracks in total, Pursuit of Pleasure starts off with an instrumental track titled Involuntary Abortion Slide that reminds one of early SPK Auto-Da-Fe’s factory-line industrial churn of drowned out drones and abrasive screeches. This sets the course out for the entire album as it progresses into the encompassing textural layers of crazed noise that is Revengance. Further aggravated by Kevin Tomkin’s deranged rants and screams of agony, Revengance is almost incomprehensible to the sane. This 2nd track is executed in their trademark style of old school power electronics, but in a more structured manner orchestrated with the brutal organic assault of white noise overlaid by complexed layers of electronic feedback that resonate with piercing aural harshness. Together with Kevin Tomkin’s frenzied wails, they weave seamlessly well together with its high frequencies and overall disturbing tonal quality. Paul Taylor contributes to With Brutal Intent with his verbal tirade of anguished and maniacal outbursts. Just like a madman, he appears to be exacerbated by the tensions between his own drastic perversions and forlorn despair through sounding almost pained and tortured with his intent of brutality. The album concludes with Kevin’s personal favourite Shy, which is an epic track that stretches for over 14 minutes. Initially starting out as a haunting ambient introduction of drone loops and synth sounds, Kevin’s gentle whispers gradually build up into the background of harsh electronics and feedback loops. Struggling between the multitude of white noise and screeches, Kevin’s whispers gradually elevate into psychotic screams of fuckraging aural armageddon, through commanding his victim to ‘SWALLOW!’
Overall, Pursuit of Pleasure demonstrates the maturity of Sutcliffe Jugend as an experimental outfit who has redefined themselves through creative manipulation of sound textures. From their progressive redevelopments of careful structured organic elements of audio layers over the decades, this album brings forth the innovative evolution that highlights the creative processes of both Kevin and Paul, departing from the original 80′s power electronics style of harsh noise into progressive post genre movements. This album successfully emphasizes Sutcliffe Jugend’s artistic creativity as visionary musicians through their conscious attempt of reinventing themselves by incorporating new influences and their personal interests to break new ground in the contemporary experimental music scene.

For once THE RITA takes a break from its current conceptually driven texture research for returning to its original full-frontal impact, not unlike older works like “Bodies bear traces...”, “Swingers get killed”, “Sea Wolf Leviathan”, etc.
For this release, McKinlay is supported by both old and new allies providing personal sound-works, explicitly inspired/influenced by personal obsessions and a graphic appreciation for the sex-trade world.
ESCORTING renders into aural assault sordid yet intense tales of prostitution, displaying landscapes of sidewalks, flesh-markets, Chinese massage parlors, Greek studios, Swiss Night-clubs crowded with Eastern European just legal teen agers actively growing a celebrity status with regular customers, middle age men, real smut sommeliers in search of new experiences to add to their intimate diary of passion, where a “tool of the trade” turns into a queen for a little time, leaving a memory that will last forever, becoming part of a collection of experiences that goes far beyond a simple fuck.
This box set celebrates true feminine power and stands as a glorification of THE ESCORT as a priestess of pleasure, companion and saviour of true connoisseurs, dispensing the nectar of the gods to an army of punters, by mean of their own body, experience and charm, passing voluptuous knowledge to adoring devotees, completely surrendered at her lotus feet, grateful and generous for her carnal attention leading to ecstasy with experience.
THE RITA once again proves its craftsmanship by editing, adding to, and reassembling rough source material of the three partners in crime, accompanying the listener in several locations and situations, where money grants the access to forbidden pleasures, unknown experiences or simple human warmth.
CONCERN’s renown experimental expertise contributes creating the perfect soundtrack for any man in need of special treatment, looking for carnal attention of the workers of one of the many “Studios” in Athens’s notorious Metaxourgeio neighbourhood.
CALIGULA031’s unsettling approach describes different tones of center/southern European sleaze, focusing on the compulsive attraction of husbands  transgressing any family bonds for the expensive, yet satisfying obsessions for Eastern European ladies, prone to satisfy  any straight fetish compulsions, as ancient times Greek maidens, living Korai sculptures exposed in Swiss bars.
And last, but not least, MANIA’s fierce aggression and acclaimed ultra-violent avalanche of torturing noise, leads the listener to witness a magmatic and ear-splitting celebration of an “all-American perversion” experience, where different kinds of women are the only medicine for one man’s slavery to his own cock and cum-mania.

Voltigeurs/Dark Bargain - Voltigeurs/Dark Bargain 7" (Turgid Animal)

Matthew Bower's and Samantha Davies' Voltigeurs has been operating as a Skullflower alter-ego for some years now and with the arrival of a new release, sitting nicely along side their slew of existing excellent titles (some of which also on Turgid Animal), they continue to not only prove their worth as a project in their own right but also continue to make some of the most interesting a ripping dark pyschedelic noise in the world wide "scene"... and as if that wasn't enough, the other side of the record awaits... On this, their debut release, Newcastle based trio Dark Bargain provide 7 minutes of thunderous rhythmns and harsh distortion laden and feedback drenched noise rock. A triumphant and impressive entrance to the world of releases for them, which isn't suprising once you are aware of the fact that Dark Bargain features three stalwarts of the northern noise underworld; Jamie Stewart (of Wrest) on bass, Lucy Johnson (of Rife and Smut) on drums and Mike Simpson (of Xazazz and owner of the Molotov imprint) on guitar and effects. Cover artwork by Lucy Johnson. Limited to 300 copies on black vinyl.
