And still I didn't find correct answer - lack of motivation to make releases more public, censorship, incorrect channels of information, lack of artists or what. That was one of the reasons why I gladly accepted the offer to review release of new Russian industrial/power electronics act DOR (as far as I can understand it's debut release though I couldn't find more information about the project so I might be wrong), that was brought into daylight by Spanish label RONF. "From the Personal Fear to the Social Agony" - mini CDr, packed in miniDVD case. Visually it really looks good. All texts, translated into English are in professionally printed insert. Sonic information in the disc - 4 tracks that lasts for more than 15 minutes. It seems that the structure/placing of songs in the disc is encoded in the album title too. It is opened with the track "Isolation". Monotonic and dismal synth melody under effects and sudden bursts of harsh vocal attack. Somehow this track reminded me of Navicon Torture Technologies. Claustrophobic mood and negative thoughts of desolation. The start of this mini album is really good and "Isolation" is my favorite track in this release. "Your Face" - more aggressive and it goes in completely different mood. Pulsating dirty loop and rather slow effected voice on top. I doubt though if the text is translated correctly for this track. But all in all, it's rather decent death industrial/power electronics piece. I couldn't get to the third track "No" though. Rhythmic loop that is being covered with various noises and a couple of sentences shouted over and over again. The weakest part in the album in my opinion. And at the end, the level is raised once more. Monotonic screams of depraved noise generator that are covered with distant (radio?) samples and rumbling low sounds. Finally the track turns into solid mass of noises with shouted misanthropic text on top. It's rather interesting to hear Russian language in such context - maybe it's post-soviet syndrome, but it brings yet different colors for the whole sound. For conclusion, I'd say that I'm quite not sure of what to expect from this project in the future. This release satisfied me and despite one rather weak track, it seems that there's what to expect from DOR in the future. Yet they have to be motivated enough to search and find distinctive face for the project so that it wouldn't sink in the sea of similar artists and that it wouldn't be so similar to the ones that influenced the creations for this mini-album. I hope they manage to do that.
" - Unexpected "' }
